ABOUT ABOUT
This event is sold out!

Come join us for a casual afternoon exploration of American craft beer and American artisinal cheese. Through five pairings hand selected by Certified Cicerone Tim Prendergast you will see the amazing affinity that American craft beer and artisinal cheese have for one another.

The second in a recurring series of beer and cheese events, this event will appeal to hardcore beer and cheese heads as well as those new to the world of craft beer and artisinal cheese. This time we highlight the seasonal nature of artisinal cheesemaking that separates it from mass-produced cheese and how that fits in with the growing trend of "eating in season". All five cheeses featured are produced with raw milk and you'll learn what that means and how that affects the quality of cheese produced.

Highlights from the lineup include:

Uplands Pleasant Ridge Reserve Extra Aged named the best cheese in America at the 2010 American Cheese Society competition.

Oxbow Sasuga Saison, a 4.5% rice based saison fermented w/ Brettanomyces from a small farmhouse brewery in Newcastle, ME.

A cask of 3 Stars Brewing/Oliver Ales B.W. Rye #3 with rose hips and Tettnanger hops in cask. B.W. Rye #3, a rye saison, is the latest collaboration between 3 Stars Brewing and Oliver Ales.
